Anthony Valentine - Male Alien in War Games - began his acting career in the early 1950s as Harry Wharton, juvenile nemesis of the title character in the BBC comedy series Billy Bunter Of Greyfriars School. He also appeared in Whirligig, the 1955 adaptation of Children Of The New Forest and the feature film The Brain Machine (1956). In the 1960s, he appeared in A For Andromeda, The Avengers and Department S, and took regular roles in Dr. Finlay's Casebook (as Bruce Cameron) and Callan (as Toby Meres). It was the following decade, however, in which he established himself in his best-known roles to date: as Major Horst Mohn in Colditz and the title character in Raffles. More recently, he has been seen as the Baron Simon de Belleme in Robin Of Sherwood, Victor Stride in The House Of Elliott, The Hat in The Fifth Corner and Colonel Carter in Riders. Valentine has also made numerous guest appearances in series such as Minder, Bergerac, Boon, Stay Lucky, Hammer House Of Horror, Covington Cross, The Casebook Of Sherlock Holmes, Lovejoy and Roald Dahl's Tales Of The Unexpected (twice). His feature films include Performance (1970), To The Devil A Daughter (1976), Escape To Athena (1979), The Monster Club (1980), Age Of Treason (1993), Jefferson In Paris (1995) and The House Of Angelo (1997).
