Barbara R. Kellerman is an English actress, noted for her film and television roles. She trained at Rose Bruford College.[3]
Kellerman's Jewish father, Dr Walter Kellermann (born 1915, died 2012), had fled Nazi Germany and settled in Leeds, where he became a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the University of Leeds. Her mother, Marcelle, was a member of the French Resistance during the Second World War who became a teacher of modern foreign languages.[4]
Kellerman has a younger brother Clive and a younger sister Judith.[5]
Kellerman is perhaps best-known for her role as the White Witch in the BBC's adaptations of C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles Of Narnia - The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, Voyage Of The Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair - but she is also fondly remembered for her starring roles as Clare Kapp in Quatermass and Delly Lomas in 1990. She made her screen debut in Space:1999 and went on to appear in Satan's Slave (1976) before starring as Barbara Morris in the highly-acclaimed BBC2 drama The Glittering Prizes. She later appeared in The Monster Club (1980) and The Sea Wolves (1980), and guest-starred in episodes of Hammer House Of Horror and The Professionals.
