The term Laser Tank refers to three designs of tracked vehicle used to supplement the defence of Moonbase Alpha.
All three designs were used in the defence against Gwent.[1]
One laser tank was inside the Eagle hanger when the Maya creature attempted to escape, due to Maya contracting a fever which affects her metamorphic ability.[2]

According to the recently published Moonbase Alpha Technical Operations Manual and Space 1999 Roleplaying Game Core rulebook, two of the designs refer to construction and maintenance "Lunar Tractor" vehicles. the third design is referred to as an "All Terrain Exploration Vehicle" model. All of these are civilian vehicles retrofitted to function as weapons platforms in defence of the Moonbase Alpha, much like the models of the civilian-designed Eagle Transport are.
